    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • It was a poor experience, the job is just renting cars. They only car about you getting sales, the hours are crazy long and you wont have a work life balance.

    1/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • The people you work with make such a big difference. Every branch was different, but my manager was quite selfish and she did not value the employees that much.

    1/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • The assistant managers are the ones you will get along with better than the branch manager. The assistant managers will be patient and give you all the time you need, again this depends on the branch.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Everyday is busy, you have a quiet day once in a blue moon.

    1/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You are given responsibility, but they are not that important, the branch manager will know everything you are doing, but will make it out that what you are doing is crucial for the branch.

    2/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I did not learn anything from Enterprise, apart from patience. Waiting 12 months to get out of there is easier said than done!

    1/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • It depended on the mood of the branch manager, if they were moody, the whole branch will be moody.

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • They have a book you need to complete by the end of the placement, but if you do not finish it they don't really care, they just say you can't come back as a graduate.

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They pay for you to have a van training course, pay for a few dinners and that's pretty much it. They only invest in you if you are good at sales.

    3/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 1/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • POOR!

    1/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • They have an intern of the year, for those that sell the best. When I say sells, I mean selling protection for the cars you rent.

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • It honestly depends on the area.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Pretty good

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not at all, you do not have a work life balance when it comes to working for Enterprise, working weekends and weekdays, doing 10hrs a day, say goodbye to your hobbies.

    3/5
