The Role
I had such a good year working at WorldFirst. This was down to the people i was working with, my day to day jobs and the company itself. I also loved having the opportunity to get involved with the social team of the business.
I never felt like the 'placement student'
The support given not only by my manager but my team was one of the main reason i enjoyed the placement so much. There was a lot of support for any ideas I had and there was plenty of encouragement to developer my skill set.
The days fluctuated but definitely more busy days, but I like to be kept busy so it was the perfect job for me
I had a lot of my own projects, with manager support when I needed it.
I definitely have a more detailed understanding of HR and it gave me an insight to where I see my career going.
The Company
There was a good balance between having fun but also being able to focus when needed.
there was good communication from applying all the way through to my first day
The tools for self development were provided
Sports and Social Club
Financial Bonus
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Above 25 days holiday
Travel loan
Very appealing, the company and the people are the reason I would return
The Culture
Great social scene, this was encouraged a lot throughout my time here.
London can be expensive in comparison to the usual student prices
London has everything you need. Millbank has a few pubs around but everything else is a short tube journey away
There were many social events organised by the social team
