The Role
I really enjoyed my placement. I got the opportunity to express myself and learn in different areas. Everyone was so nice and friendly to me which really helped me settle in.
I felt as if I had been working in PwC for years as everyone treated me as if they knew me from day one.
In PwC, there are many different managers that you have a connection with. People Manager and Line manager to name a few but it doesn't stop there. They were always there whenever I was in difficulty and just whenever I needed someone to talk to on a personal note.
I was really busy. The first few weeks were quite slow but this was expected. As time went on, more and more work came my way. It was fantastic as I got to experience what full time work was like and also made the day go in a lot quicker.
I was really shocked at how much responsibility I was given. During the first half of placement, responsibility was limited but once I got on a new role, things started to move quicker. I was the direct point of contact on the project so I got involved in quite a lot of work.
They really helped me. The first six weeks in PwC, we got to learn a lot of different skills and programs such as Java and other project management skills. These certainly helped me in going into final year at university.
The Company
Fantastic, everyone got on with one another which made it a really fun place to work.
At first I didn't think it was great as it took me a while for work to come my way. As time went on, things started to take shape nicely.
They invested in me by taking me on business trips to both London and Birmingham. They also paid for me to do two qualifications: ITIL and Microsoft Cloud Fundamentals.

Working from home
