    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed the women in banking day as I stepped out of my comfort zone and it was a new experience for me that really paid off. I learnt about the potential future of work I may go in to

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt quite valued at this insight day as there were only a few people so it felt quite personal

    3/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The leader of the insight day was very supportive, kind and caring. She made me feel comfortable which allowed me to enjoy the experience as best as possible.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Very structured as there was a schedule that was stuck to and everything got covered!

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was great. We were surrounded by like minded individuals who were kind. The good atmosphere brightened my mood and made the event a comfortable area

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company invested some time to the group as a whole but personally not as much. There was really an personal training during the insight day maybe due to the lack of time.

    2/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • There was a speaker at the event who gave us the detail of what it was like to work at the Bank of England. After her talk I felt like I knew what a full time role with the company entailed.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The company’s culture was understood from the first 10 minutes! I understood that integrity and teamwork played a huge role in the values that the Bank of England follow.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It did explore a lot of career paths in detail as they gave us the opportunity to network and ask questions to people who currently work at the Bank of England which was a great experience. However, it did not help me to decide on my future career path as I still am unsure of what I am interested in

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was not paid or reimbursed expenses as I lived close enough to not be reimbursed and I was not paid for attending. The experience was a payment as it was an optional event

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes. At the end of the event an hour was dedicated to meet and network with other employees of the company. A good opportunity to find out what made them pick the Bank of England and what their application process was and their experiences not only at the organisation but previous organisations as well

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • They were great! As it was a fantastic opportunity to know individuals not only in the same position as me but employees who chose to work at the Bank of England. We had an hour to bond and ask questions that we wanted answers to

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Not in as much detail as I would have liked. That topic was kind of brushed over, they spoke more about their role and what that includes but not as much about the activities employees can get involved in outside work.

    2/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Yes I definitely would as it was a great experience to know what life inside the Bank of England is like before committing full time to work there. It was nice to know what the employees thought of the company and how it differs to other organisation. Anyone who would want to go into that sector I would definitely recommend them to attend an insight day.
