The Role
It was very enjoyable great atmosphere and people and had space to develop as I wanted.
The organisation is full of lovely and supportive people I was treated as an equal but given support when I needed.
I was assigned a mentor in my team who I felt very comfortable chatting to, my manger also sat a few desks away so I could pop over and ask him anything if I needed. He managed in quite a hands off line, way which I was comfortable with however, he offered to create more structure if I had needed/ preferred that.
After the first week things started to speed up, I will say that a lot of the work I had filled up my time with came to me because I actively went out into the organisation to look for it and find projects I wanted to work on. This was fine for me because I wanted to have more autonomy on the type of work I would be doing and the team set up introductions for lots of the other teams which gave us contacts and insight on the type of work being done.
I think I was given a fair amount of responsibility I could have handled more however, I didn't feel massively undervalued.
I joined as a graduate so I wanted to gain experience, develop an understanding of lots of other roles and have more concrete tangible examples of using my skills in a work setting. I have certainly done that.
The Company
Fun never stopped, great people, great atmosphere, laughed a lot in team meetings
Really well organised had a mentor in the team day one as a point of support and the whole team helped organising intros to the other teams. I joined with one other intern on my team and we were both told day 1 we had a project assigned to us.
There was training sporadically throughout the internship in terms of self development and project management skill. I will say that as a slightly more experienced candidate than many of the other interns a lot of this training wasn't hugely relevent.

I currently have an interview for a place within my team next week so fingers crossed.
The Culture
People are quite inclusive, I've been here 2 months and I've been to art exhibitions, pub lots, a dogs expo, planning to go to the guilty feminist soon.
you have to be smart, buy your food bring your lunch however, a lot of my colleagues did this as well.
Angel is a nice spot, plenty to do/ places to go.
