    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I really enjoyed the insight programme. My buddy tried to give me various kinds of different work so that I was exposed to different areas of the role, and I could better understand whether such a role meets my career aspirations. The skills learned were transferable, and I believe I will be able to use these skills learned in the future.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I was given real ongoing work, and was guided step-by-step which I really appreciate as I was only there for a short 3 days. People from different seniority tried to help out on the work I was doing, which was really helpful! I was even given a mini "test" by the manager to see how much I understood from what I was doing.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I was first briefed about what the role entails, and was given examples of different work and what kind of skillset is required. Whenever I was stuck on some code, my buddy was very willing to explain. I even had a senior manager guide me through one of the tasks!

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I learned how to use accounting software, and visualization tools, in a period of 3 days. Having a certain level of proficiency in visualization tools will definitely be beneficial in the future as it relates to my undergraduate degree. I also received a really good insight into the technology industry.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • I interned outside the usual internship period, hence there was no "structure". I was also the only intern at that time. However, on the plus side, I was able to be more involved. I was given work that was ongoing, and managed to do a small "project" using a visualization tool.

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was really open and friendly, I simply did not feel like I was new or temporary. Everyone was very willing to help, and encouraged me to ask as many questions as I could, and no question is a dumb question. There were even jokes across the table to make me feel more welcomed.

    5/5

  • 5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
