The Role
The people made the placement for me, I enjoyed being able to work with a wide variety of colleagues. I enjoyed the ability to be very hands on in the projects assigned to me and carrying out one on one meetings with clients from my first week.
Everyone is so friendly and supportive. You can feel comfortable asking any question.
My people manager was so support and attentive throughout my placement year, especially when I felt I needed extra support when taking my FAR and AA exams. We would speak more regularly through this period on the phone or in person.
During my placement year, I carried out the first 7 of 15 Chartered Accountancy exams. Other skills/attributes that were developed throughout my placement: - Organisation - Communication - Technical language - Self confidence
The Company
I enjoyed being given the opportunity to work with many different clients and also taking the Chartered Accountancy exams. I feel that my people manager would have liked to have had more help/support in knowing more about the end of the placement year.
I have taken 7 of the 15 Chartered Accountancy exams, and also took part in the training events that all of the AS1s did.

Working from home
I am looking to transfer from Audit and Assurance to the Global Mobility sector in the Tax department. Due to my placement year success, I have been given the opportunity to use the formal transfer process open to placement students, which I am really happy about.
The Culture
Being in GIG (Government and Industry) in Audit, we had many socials throughout the year which I enjoyed taking part in, such as Beer Pong night and the Christmas parties. I have made many friends from these.
I cannot answer this as I lived from home (outside of London) during my Placement year.
