About You
I had the best time ever at Deloitte! Spent 3 weeks of my summer in Deloitte, audit and assurance service line and I would say it was amazing.
My managers and seniors were really friendly and kind. I felt like I belong there!
They were really supportive and put in the effort to guide me when I was lost. Furthermore, they are also very knowledgeable in the area that they are doing.
Everything that I have learned in the 3 weeks was definitely very relatable to what I am studying - Accounting and Finance. I am also more aware of current issues now as compared to the past.
The Company
The SVS scheme was good but I felt that it could be slightly longer as 3 weeks were rather short to develop further skills.
In general, I enjoyed my work and the people I met during the SVS were great! I look forward to working there after graduation.
As I was there for only 3 weeks, I didn't experience any personal training or development. But the company does offer some great career development in the long run if you join them FULL-time. They do sponsor professional qualification such as ICAEW and other amazing personal training to enhance your soft and hard skills.
My managers did share the benefits of working full time in the firm. Also, there was a session that offers insights regarding the career progression etc.
It was nice to interact with people who shape the company culture - which is really lovely and helpful.
Initially, I was not so sure of what career path I want to take in the future. But after the programme, I am rather certain that I would like to be in the Audit and Assurance service line. I believe that it will be a great start to a finance career.
Everything Else
All travel expenses were reimbursed. On top of that, I was paid as well.
Yes, Deloitte organized a session for all the interns, SVS students and associates to meet. Some directors and partners along with some seniors were there as well to talk about life at the firm.
It was great, we managed to ask questions and understand more about everything regarding the firm.
There are some opportunities mentioned - such as being involved in helping the new joiners programme.
I would highly recommend the programme to everyone! It is definitely one of the best programmes out there.
