The Role
It was just perfect internship. I have enjoyed everything in the company. Really friendly environment, you can easily get good relationship with your team members. Everyone respects you and of course you can ask anything related to work. Everyone in King will happily help you! Comapny facilities are lovely too.
In the company, every intern get the mentor called ‘buddy’ and of course direct manager to help overall task and get into the company easily. You can enjoy lots of interesting projects depends on your team. Even you can set your own goals for company and work on personal project with good support of your team members.
My buddy and manager were both friendly. I can freely ask my questions and always got good answers from them. As an international student, my business english was not perfect at the beginning. Instead of blaming me, they helped me alot to correct and write right expression, which helped me to improve my writing skills alot.
The balance between working and my life was perfect. I got a main task which write a games notes on weekly basis. If I need to do some analysis projects, my team members always let me know a day before and always guided me to set appropriate amount of daily tasks.
You can be fully responsible on your project. I did one project, and my team members gave me the chance to present it in front of colleagues. They said I finished this tasks so I have the best knowledge on it. It is really rare for interns to present something in the company.
I can improve my analysis skills through several projects based on market trends and competitor’s titles. I also learnt about data base platform, and I can confidently use it. I also improved my presentation skills. I learnt how can I make a story line when you present something. These are all useful for my master’s degree, especially for dissertation.
The Company
I can say company is friendly environment. Everyone is kind, it was unique experience. On the first day or week of your working, team members introduce you to other colleagues, which help you to know them. I also love the kitchen area I usually went up to get some snacks.
My internship was well structured. There is induction section for a day, which helps interns to understand more about the company and get close with each other. All interns have daily tasks, and catch up sessions with team managers and HR team to check the progress. End celebration event was brillant too.
There are lots of intetesting meetings/societies in the company which everyone can join and develope their skills. If you want to learn something new, you can simly ask it to your team members. In my case, my buddy and team member let me know about basic SQL that I never experienced before.

It is really nice place to start career. Personally, I want to go back and work in my team again. 2 months are quite short time but were enough for me to build good relationship with team members and get confidence on my working. I enjoyed my internship a lot.
The Culture
All of my colleagues ,interns, were satisfied on the company. Even some of them got a full time job after their internship. Everyone was really opened, outgong and adaptable person which understand different backgrounds.
Since it was london, the living cost was pretty expensive. I sometimes go out with other interns to have a nice meal but service charge always bothered us. For accommodation, company support monthly fee which I was really happy about.
Company is located in the middle of soho which means there are lots of things to do during the night. Really close to china town too, can enjoy nice food easily.
There were many opportunities outside of the work. You can easily find lots of things!
