    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great experience from all points of view: intellectually exciting, lot of learning, great experiences, meeting incredible people, demanding but rewarding environment and a great personal and professional experience overall

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • You are certainly valued and the job is demanding.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • There was support and guidance but in the end the best guidance can be given by people inside, that's why it is certainly essential to ask for feedback, to observe, to adapt and to try to know others' reactions and way of working

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Almost no free time. Always something to do, be it checking emails, doing presentations, events, replying to people, prepare personal projects, etc.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • A lot of responsability. I can say after 3 or 4 weeks I was given an entire project to do it on my own. It was certainly something exceptional and probably out of my reach, but you are expected to be proactive and, especially, be able to solve problems yourself

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think the learning experience is far more interesting, enriching, useful and practical that any learning you can receive from any university

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Extremely helpful people. No problem at all and a very positive surprise to find such great people

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Extremely well organized. Good balance between business, events, etc.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I got the feeling the firm invested quite heavily on the interns and this is demonstrated by the amount of work and responsability given to us

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • 4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Depends on the team, but usually pretty positive if there's effort and motivation behind

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • In my experience, great interns and extremely helpful to have them doing the same internship for support

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Depends on how cheap or expensive you are, but in both cases you can spend very few or a lot depending on your tastes. Except for housing and transport, the rest in London can be pretty affordable if you know where and what to buy

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Apparently very good although I can't say much on this regard

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Depends on the department and your hours, and also on how organized you are. But undoubtedly, great and many things to do in London. A very welcoming city

    4/5
