  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • For somebody that is looking to get into software engineering, this was a great place to gain experience.

  • The employees are all very friendly and accommodating, and give a real sense of community.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Any help needed was given, they make sure that you're learning properly instead of just carrying out instructions.

  • The task given was broad enough to have a consistent goal throughout.

  • The task was primarily for me, and my mentor would only jump in if needed.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Wasn't relevant at all for A-Level studies and I would guess it wouldn't be useful for degrees. However, for a career the skills gained are very valuable.

  • Friendly and accommodating.

  • A task was decided before I arrived, and had already had some thought put into it by the rest of my team.

  • A significant amount of time was set aside to ensure that I was learning things properly.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • A week is set aside specifically for interns

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Reasonable place to eat out. Company housing is cheap, from what I heard.

  • Not applicable for me.

  • A lot of after-work drinks. Didn't participate in any activities apart from that.
