    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Great internship, allowed me to have a great view of the business and understand the key values of Enterprise and why they are so successful. The difficult moments really develop your character. There are many cars you drive which is a benefit as you get to try the full range.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Really felt apart of the team straight away, there are many dinners and meetings with different managers, really get an insight to the business and what they expect from you in this role. At every stage possible, my colleagues made sure that all the positives that came from my work were acknowledged.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My management team were amazing, from the first day I felt included in the team and knew that I could go to managers and colleagues about any queries/issues I had. They were very accepting of questions and continued to stress that I should feel comfortable. I overloaded my managers with questions and they really appreciated how engaged I was

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • In the summer months it was very busy but it varies on a daily basis as some days were very busy and some days were quiet and allowed time to develop skills and understand more about the business. The great thing about working at enterprise is that the day goes by very quick, there has never been a draining day.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • The responsibility I was given was moderate, I believe the Captains role that was introduced in my area really incentivized me to get to know the business more and work to improve a business, which made me feel like an asset to the team rather than just a summer intern.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The role of a strong customer service approach is important as it they bring transferrable skills in all aspects of life. I believe I have more confident and know how to manage relationships effectively which will benefit during my degree in presentation aspects. I believe the sales aspect will help me during interviews as I now know how to sell myself or anything.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Great atmosphere in the office, there was a great balance between work and fun which made me feel welcomed immediately. As soon as I arrived I was lucky to arrive at the time of the area night out which positively broke barriers as I saw colleagues out of the work environment.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The internship was organized very well, from the interview process which was smooth and easy, to the orientation which was fun and the information was conveyed efficiently. Staying at the hotel was great as you got to meet a new people who were on the same level as you so your network automatically grew.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There is a clear programme for personal training and development but this is applied to 3 month interns as much as it should be. I believe in a 3 month period, training is important as it allows the business to sell itself to the intern and will make them more likely to return.

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • It is very possible that I will be back with enterprise. I really like the internship and believe that it is a right fit for me, the most challenging aspect of this is the working hours but I managed to work round this and believe that I will be able to be a great asset to the company.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • There was a good social scene but I believe that there could be a specific network for people in your group or new hires. A lot of companies have this in order to grow their network immediately and feel comfortable. I believe it is also important to have new hires to turn to immediately rather than just managers.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • I live in London so the cost of living is non-applicable but socializing is quite expensive as it is London but as it not a daily requirement it is manageable. I feel that living costs in London are expensive but a great experience to have, as many of the people on this internship moved down to London in order to experience this

    4/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • Nightlife in London is great, vibrant and lively. There are a lot of different places to go and a lot of activates to do, so life is very easy. The nightlife is great, the prices are expensive but they are a great way to meet new people and effectively socialize

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • Not many opportunities run by the company which is a downside, I believe societies in the company would be hugely beneficial in reducing employee turnover. I am a person that likes to engage with people but there is not a lot of this outside of the work environment which can be improved.
