    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • The placement with Enterprise was always enjoyable but it came with your tough days. There is plenty more to Enterprise than just renting cars so don't discourage the placement based on this. You learn many different skills such as networking, marketing, sales, growth, customer service. There is plenty that can be taken away that is relatable to your course.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • In particular with my branch I had a close relationship with everyone, it was a very friendly atmosphere. There is real sense of teamwork within the branch and everyone values one another in particular the skills that they can bring to each team. I know of other branches that are different however on a whole they are all great environments to be in.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • In my branch in particular I didn't receive the most regular support in terms of training. Which is mainly due to the fact that I was in a particularly busy branch, however my managers were always available to support me if I reached out for it. I would just say that your development is in your own hands, if you asked for support you wouldn't be turned down.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Always busy from 0730 to 1800 minimum! The day would go fast so although its a long day it didn't particularly feel that way. I would say that the workload isn't for everyone, if you can deal with how busy Enterprise is then you can face pretty much any other job.

    3/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • You are given huge responsibilities within the company as long as you show the willingness to get the opportunities. I pushed my management to give me more responsibility as I enjoyed the pressure and satisfaction of getting tasks completed. On numerous occasions I was given the task of running the logistics aspect of the branch.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The biggest aspect that Enterprise has help develop me was through the social skills that I've developed. I am able to communicate in a professional manner whether it be with our corporate accounts, or communicate more casually with customers. I can see a huge difference in my communication development as a result of Enterprise. Areas of the business such as financial analysis, marketing, leadership, networking and sales are all relevant skills I have learnt that will assist me going into my final year.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere within my office was great, we would always have a laugh between us and In particular with the regular customers we would have come in.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The training days were always organized well in advance so it was seamless in that sense. however I would say it is all dependent on what branch you work in.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Again I would say this is down to you as a person and the management staff around you. Some managers would invest their time to develop you while others were busy in their own day to day tasks. As a rule though, if you needed and wanted training there would be no one who tell you no.

    4/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    2/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • It is difficult because the role isn't for everyone, I know in particular a lot of people who couldn't stand the demands of the role. However for me I enjoyed the challenges of the job and the responsibilities that are granted to you with further development in the organization.

    4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • When you are given your branch you are necessarily ensured to be with other placement students so the social scene can be mixed. However there will be people a similar age to you due to the young age of the business. You spend so much time with your colleagues that you naturally become good friends regardless of age.

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • My branch was located in East London so it was moderate in terms of costs. Housing was obviously my biggest expenses however I found that socializing wasn't particularly expensive as long as you knew where to go.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife was great as I lived a short tube journey away from Central London.

    5/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • The amount of hours that you work with enterprise didn't really allow much time for extra activities outside of work. Once your day was finished you wanted to have a social life with friends.
