    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The insight programme was really good because we were given a wide range of things to do: we worked both on client sites and in the office.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I didn’t feel very valued because I hardly knew anything: I was starting right from the bottom. Sometimes I felt a bit of a hindrance asking questions all the time.

    2/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • My managers were all very helpful whenever there was anything I was unsure about. I also had a buddy which was really nice because I could ask him things I didn’t want to ask the managers

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Probably won’t assist me in my degree but certainly beyond. I’ve learned a lot about businesses, and about using Microsoft excel. I also had a lot of interaction with clients so dealing with people professionally will also help.

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Some things were more well structured than others. Our retain was often full but sometimes a job was just coming to its end and so there wasn’t much for the interns to do.

    3/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Atmosphere was mostly good, especially at the social events. Sometimes in the office things were slightly more tense

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There were a few training modules to do online but they didn’t take very long and didn’t go into much detail. It was more of a learn on the job kind of insight.

    2/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I worked in lots of areas so managed to get a good insight

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • All the assessment days and big days where everyone came together taught me the most about the company’s culture.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • It wasn’t just a day: it was 4 weeks. It has definitely helped me determine what I do want to do and what I don’t. I wouldn’t have been able to decide without this experience.

    4/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • It was a fully paid programme and I was reimbursed for any travel costs to different offices and client sites.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were on assessment days and the first day of the programme.

    4/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Very good, there were always social events happening

    4/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • There was a lot of sport stuff going on outside the office like cricket, tennis, and rugby

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • It was a very valuable experience overall

    4/5
