About You
Taster was a very enjoyable intensive two day programme jam-packed with mini skills based workshops.
Teach First invested a lot of time into improving your own skillset, often including one on one discussions with employee leaders on self reflection to ensure you were maximising what you were getting out of the exercises
You were constantly observed by members of Teach First who were always on hand for help and advice when needed.
The skills based workshops were very hands on with discussions greatly improving my communication and group work skills as well as a direct and large focus on self-reflection skills.
The Company
The structure was well planned with a number of intensive exercises, events and talks over the two days which were not too rushed but ensured the two days were an extremely intensive but useful as the use of time was maximised.
Extremely friendly and comfortable atmosphere.
The majority of the programme was structured around exercises based on improving your own skillset as well as making you aware of future opportunities with the firm.
The insight provided talks and even some exercises based around future opportunities and programmes with the firm.
The two days were completely submersive into the culture, values and impression of the company.
Not only do they make you aware of a career in teaching and future Teach First programmes but also alternative or also similar opportunities with partners from Pwc to NCS.
Everything Else
Travel expenses were reimburses and accommodation and food was also provided but I was not paid - Teach First are a charity though so this is understandable.
There was no evening event or large networking event but a small chance to network in the short breaks between activities.
There was no evening event or large networking event but a small chance to network in the short breaks between activities.
Only the training days which one would attend if they partook in further Teach First programmes.
Yes but only if you feel you may have an interest in teaching or working with a firm with such an excellent ethos and values.
