    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I have really enjoyed my internship over the past month. It has offered a great insight into the property markey, Savills and the life of an employee at Savills.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • All of my colleagues over the month have been exceptional. They have given me work and tasks to complete as well as being free to answer questions that I have. All of them have shared their personal stories about how they got into Savills and the property industry.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • I have been given a lot of support and guidance from all of the Savills team.

    3/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I have always been given tasks and jobs to complete. Even when I was finished and asked for something else to complete there was always something to do

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Certainly in the early weeks when I was completing tenancy schedules for a deadline for a client I felt my colleagues has given me a good amount of responsibility.

    4/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I think the knowledge of the Manchester property market that I have gained over the past month will be very useful in both interviews and future employment in the market. My knowledge of financial yields and their calculations will be applicable in most jobs.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The atmosphere in the office is always lively. I have been able to go out with collegues during lunch and after work which has been great for networking and getting to know people better. My only observation is that the current office layout is very conventional and would benefit from more break out spaces, better kitchen facilities and spaces for eating etc..

    3/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • The majority of the departments in my rotation knew that I was coming to be working with them for the week and had worked lined-up. Whenever there was a problem both [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] and [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyPlacement Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] were there to help and ensure the placement was seamless.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The company put on a series of webinar learning events to ensure we were exposed to information on as much information about Savills, the property market and roles within Savills. Wherever possible, staff would take me to meetings, sites and conference calls to maximise exposure and development

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events
