    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I really enjoyed it. I was sat with the Fine Art team so I was dealing with extremely interesting clients, as well as being part of a lovely team who were friendly, helpful and worked well with each other. I learned a lot very quickly, down to the fact my team were so helpful.

  • I really felt like part of my team throughout the whole internship, and that I was adding value.

  • Whenever I had a question, every member of the team was willing to help.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • My team were always very busy and fairly short-staffed so they didn't always have time to set me work.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was involved with some important projects and felt like I was really helping the team. Obviously I couldn't take front-facing roles as an intern but I was definitely part of the process.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • In terms of my degree, engineering doesn't have any relevance with fine art insurance. For life in general, it has taught the importance of keeping good relationships with customers

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Everyone was always in a good mood, it was common that everyone was laughing with each other. You would always feel comfortable within the team.

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Everyone seemed to know what they were doing and there was lots of extra stuff put on for us that increased our knowledge of the industry.

  • I was mainly doing project work so was really just learning on the job, therefore it was more upto me how much I invested in development.

  • It seems like a great company to work for, with great benefits. They also seem to offer a structure where it's easy to move around/up.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • We had one intern social, but the rest of social events were left up to us to organise.

  • Central London is very expensive

  • London is great fun
