  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?

    • Thoroughly enjoyed my work placement - great people and a great organisation.

    • I was surprised at how valued I felt and how involved we all were.

    • Support was definitely available if you needed it.

    • Most days I was very busy, but occasionally I didn't have much to do.

    • I was given more responsibility then expected, which was a massive positive. We were on client sites from the get go, which made me feel very valued.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • It will help me massively. I development many skills and learnt a lot. It has given me a massive insight into a career in audit.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?

    • I was rarely in my office due to being at the client, but the socials organised by the offices were very fun.

    • It was extremely well organised with close to no problems at all.

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I personally think BDO invested a massive amount into me. I would recommend this internship to anyone who is interested in going down the accountancy route.

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?

    • I have met some great people during my internship, who I will definitely keep in touch with. BDO's Early in Career team has organised and done so much for us.

    • It varied, depending on the location.
