The Role
All in all it was a great experience, I learned a lot about professional work and myself, it wasn't hard to find the motivation to go to work every day.
I felt that I actually was doing something useful and helpful and that my work had purpose.
I was given support whenever I had a question or something was unclear, I never had the feeling of asking a stupid or unnecessary question (although maybe in some cases it was), so I would never hesitate to ask or request support.
it's hard to tell, because there were really busy days with no spare time at all and other days were really quiet, but on the average the workload was pleasant, rarely too much.
I felt that I was trusted with a reasonable amount of responsibility, sometimes it could have been a bit more even. I would have wished for more individual projects, but I'm aware that this is a matter of occasion, so it was alright all in all.
I think for degree studies it's helpful to have some practical experience which you can relate to your theoretical work, and the other way round apply theory to practice, so it's easier to make up, what's relevant and what not. Experience is always good.
The Company
Casual, relaxed
Organisation of the internship is up to the individual mentor and/or the team that one works with, because they are the ones who hand over task in most of the cases, and after it's up to oneself to organise the tasks, which I prefer, because I know best how much time I need for certain tasks.
Training was carried out on the go, whenever there was the opportunity or rather the need to acquire something new; interns were paid minimum wage though, so that's some kind of investment in that sense.
Flexi Time
Working from home
The Culture
yes, especially after work or on weekends, going out for dinner, beers, movies, etc.
Basically everything from living to socialising is super expensive.
To me personally, nightlife is more relevant to the area where I live, not where I work. Also the network of public transportation is very good, so basically that question is not relevant to me.
If you have the money there are endless opportunities.
