The Role
It was okay, I was placed in a team where I could use my skills well and be confident in what I do. I did as well develop the skills I had. However, I expected to learn more new stuff and probably hoped for the work I do to be more creative.
I felt that my team colleagues treated me well and as a valued member of my team. They trusted me a lot with what I do with the work but also offered help and understanding when I was not sure of something. It was great to see that what I do is actually valuable for the team.
My team leaders explained the work to me at first and then trusted me to work on my own, however always providing more support and guidance if I needed some. They were also concerned not only with the work I do for the company but also my personal development and offered guidance on that as well.
Most of the days I felt that the workload I got was the perfect amount - enough to keep me busy but I still had time to breathe and be relaxed and enjoy the work. However, there were some days that I had to wait to continue my work during which I hd nothing to do and felt like I am wasting time.
I was given enough responsibility to feel valued but not too much so I didn't feel overwhelmed with work.
The internship surely helped me develop my skills connected with my degree - it deepened the skills I had before and allowed me to learn how to use them in the industry. I also learned some skills that were completely new to me but very useful for pursuing my degree and career in my area of study.
The Company
I think the general atmosphere was really good, most of the people seemed friendly and welcoming. If I had a problem they were happy to help and actually engaged in solving it. I felt as a part of the team in the office despite being there for only a small amount of time.
In general the internship was very well organised, with great inductions and well-thought events during the whole programme. I felt like there was a clear plan and they knew what to do. However, within the team I was placed in I think they did not get enough time to prepare work to give to the interns.
They were always ready to organise talks, sessions and events so that we could learn what we expressed our interest in.

In my opinion the internship encouraged me to accept the graduate job offer in this company. It showed that the atmosphere in the company is very nice, that the work is interesting and that they value their employees. The only disadvantage is the location of the base office for the department of my interest.
The Culture
All the fellow interns were very friendly and sociable, I made a lot of friendships that I think will last after the internship is over. With them and other colleagues we would often go out for lunch or other social gatherings, what was creating a nice work-life balance and made me enjoy the internship even more.
In general, the main socialising area was in a nearby city that was quite expensive, unless one knew where to go.
In the exact area of work there was no many opportunities to experience nightlife, but most of the employees lived and went out in a nearby city, where nightlife was quite good, with many restaurants, pubs and clubs, and a beach so everyone could find and do what they were in a mood for.
Apart from social events for inters, I heard of some activities such us volunteering and hackatons but they weren't advertised that much.
