  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • Really enjoyable and useful day. There were great tips offered for the application process.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • By offering a high quality experience, it came across that BDO valued me being there. In addition, this was also demonstrated by being open to questions and offering extremely useful advice.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?

    • We received clear guidance on the different application stages. In addition, I found the PEST analysis task extremely useful, as I wouldn't have thought about it otherwise!

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I believe the insight has enabled to me to: fully understand BDO's culture, add a personal edge to my application, have a better understanding of the roles and gain a better idea of what to expect at the assessment centre.

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • Very well - it was designed in a clear and logical way. I particularly enjoyed it when employees from different departments came in to speak to us.

    • Very welcoming, friendly and enjoyable.

    • The insight day shows they are willing to invest time into potential applicants.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • I think it is hard to get a full understanding until you work in the job, but bringing in current employees to talk about their roles was very helpful in understanding what they do day to day.

    • The insight helped me understand the company culture by, meeting the employees and hearing what social events go on in the office, as well as having the company values being mentioned consistently throughout the day.

    • Very valuable. It actually made me realise I preferred a different role to the one I was originally applying for.

    • There was it was just a shame more of them didn't pop over on the lunch break.
