The Role
It was good to have experience in the industry and design some jackets for the department that could go on sale.
There were some issues which I could not help out with. As being a short term team member I was not allowed on the private system, this meant I was unable to help fully.
I was given support through the manager of the section I worked on which was good as he had a wide knowledge of the section. I was always able to talk to anyone in the office.
In the beginning when I had a main task I was able to focus on it was good as I was able to have more of an experience. After a while when my main task was complete I had to start helping people prepare for their presentations, which meant repeating tasks.
As I was not allowed on the main system, I was not given many responsibilities, apart from my main task.
I feel it was a big help as I learnt the industry and was able to understand from a high street level what is takes to get ready for a product to going into production.
The Company
Always fun to be in the office and learn new things.
It was good, wish there was more times on connecting with other people on the internship.
They made me feel part of the team, which meant being able to choose fabrics and learn from the job, not being taught.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I could be offered to be part of their graduate scheme.
The Culture
We tried, but we all finished and started at different times
It was expensive but fun
In the area not great, but very close to London
Always being invited to do things.
