    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement with Enterprise as I believe that I learnt and achieved more than what I had set my goals to be , when I started. The support and appreciation I have received from the staff and sometimes even the customers have made the experience worthwhile.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt very valued as I was appreciated for goals and targets that I achieved, and if I struggled then they would support me. An example would be for my MQI, I had some of my work colleagues stay late hours training and preparing me for my interview. On a day to day basis I felt that I was a valued member of the team and missed whenever I was not in work. We still meet up outside of work due to a great relationship that we have built.

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Every manager that I have worked for have been different in their own ways but never failed to show their support and help me in my career. I feel that I received more guidance and support than I had expected, especially for something that was beneficial to me. I felt confident in being able to reach out to any of them for extra support.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • The branches that I worked at were very busy as they were a growing business, however, I believe the well thought out day running and management ensured that there was a perfect balance - this enabled all the tasks to be completed efficiently. I never felt like there was not something to do - and if that was the case, I would enquire what else I could do to improve the business, or even take time out with a supervisor to learn more (i.e. finance team, grill training).

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I have ran the Guildford branch successfully. Even when covering to help other branches, I will ensure that the admin that require an experienced staff member's attention is completed or worked through to the best of my ability. On occasions, I will manage the branch at Camberley if the branch manager has a conference call/ meeting.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Enterprise is a company that has various different sides of the business which I was exposed to - from Customer service to Accounts. Building rapport and relations with corporate accounts has been key for me as it has helped me build a great Managerial presence - something my customers would point out to me.

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The environment in any branch that I have worked in has been great - which is what makes the job fun. This results in a good working atmosphere allowing the employees to work efficiently. I believe working with enthusiastic like-minded employees made the atmosphere cheery.

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • I feel the placement has really boosted my career immensely and cannot be thankful enough. It was very well set up and I appreciate the many hours the staff have put in to ensure that interns learn and achieve to their full potential.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I feel that the firm has invested a lot of time and effort in developing me, which is reflected in my achievements during the year with Enterprise.

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Financial Bonus

    Company Parties/Events

    Above 25 days holiday

    4/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Having an in-depth aspect of the business, I am strongly considering a job with Enterprise as I feel I have come a long way since I first started and believe that there is so much more that I can learn and would like to achieve.

    5/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • I had built good relationships with some placement students that I started training with. My fellow placements colleagues in the area that I worked with were great and any social events we went to together were fun.

    5/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Cost of living is pretty high but I lived very close to the Guildford office so made the commute cheaper. Cost of socialising wasn't high either because of student prices.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • As I worked in Guildford for the most time of my internship, the city with a student area has a decent nightlife.

    4/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • We would regular get involved in activities outside of work as a branch, however the company did set up events such as Area night out. I attended charity events to such as the Guildford raft race.
