    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I had a great time - I learned a lot about the company itself and the recruitment process, including the group exercises and more, as well as getting a good overall insight into the company and how PwC works (including the various services the company offers and the markets they are involved in).

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I'd say this wasn't really that applicable, although that isn't to say that we weren't treated well. We were given all the information we requested (apart from specific test things that candidates aren't allowed to know) and it definitely felt like our time spent there was worth while as a whole.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Everybody had plenty of questions about various topics regarding PwC that were all answered clearly and with lots of detail - which I guess is the main point of the whole day. The activities were great to give you an insight into how you'll be tested at the assessment centre, as well as additional insights into how to succeed in the partner interviews and more.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As a graduate these skills won't benefit me in my degree although I can definitely see how going through the SWOT (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats) analysis can help with forming arguments, as well as the STAR format of responding to interview questions to give concise and informative answers (Situation, Task, Action, Result).

    5/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • The insight was excellently structured and we were there pretty much exactly the amount of time we expected. The clear structure was also useful during the group exercises where it's crucial you stick to timings. We knew what we were doing / what we would be doing throughout the day.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The general atmosphere was great - everyone seemed happy to meet one another and the staff from PwC were very happy to answer questions, talk to us and discuss anything we wanted to know about - we were made to feel very welcome and they definitely made the company look great as a whole.

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I'm not sure this is that applicable - although we were given a free lunch, which was lovely. I'll put a high score as I don't want a N/A answer to bring down the average score.

    5/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The situational activities where we went through a case studs, and the presentation we did on how PwC could help with a company from a news story that day (we chose how PwC could help Debenhams from a news story) gave a great understanding of both the various services PwC offered as well as the problems they'll face.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • There were various ambassadors from different teams there at the start of the day to discuss different aspects of the culture at PwC, going through clubs / charity days and work / sports teams and so on, as well as other things like work from home and dress for your day.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I think days like this are really important so you can get an understanding of the culture and work/life balance of the company you want to work at, as well as the sort of people you'll be working with and the actual work and companies you'll be working with - so very valuable.

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • But did get a free lunch! (sandwiches with great vegetarian options)

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Not necessarily although there did seem to be the implication that you were welcome to network with members of the firm whenever.

    3/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The ambassadors stayed during lunch so that was a good time to mill around and ask any questions and find out more about the company.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Answered this a bit already but yes - the ambassadors mentioned various ways you can get involved with local charities on charity days etc, as well as the clubs and sports teams as well as socials that are organised and you can get involved in with colleagues and friends outside of work

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would definitely recommend this to a friend in order for them to get a greater understanding of who PwC are, the work they do and the culture of working there.

    5/5
