    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Really enjoyed. Good people. good training, very competitive but relaxed environment. Best work life balance you can ever wish for. They really push you in the 10 weeks to learn as much as you can, but maximises your background with their business need so you can actually create value for them.

    5/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • People are usually quite busy during the day, but once they have time they are very willing to talk to you and teach you stuff. The senior managers are very approachable and welcoming. Some of them even comes by my desk to ask me how I feel about the internship.

    5/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • They match your background with your manager perfectly, so they are generally quite easy to communicate with. They are very approachable and patient to you when there is a question. However they will be quite busy during the day, but they will always make time to ensure you solve all your problems.

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Depends. My desk is very intense, so I work a lot during the day and sometimes stay a bit late. Whereas the intern next to me (working for a different function) has quite flexible hours. The learning process takes most of the time, once you know it saves a lot.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • We were given quite a lot of responsibilities, enjoyed it quite a lot. I got involved in a project that will eventually be used by the bank. This is quite exciting for an intern, and also a great experience. Would say this is definitely Citi's strong point. • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I was pushed to do things way beyond by degree's requirement. I didn't know how capable I was before doing this project. This kind of skill not only helps with my last year of study, but also helps with any career path I will ever choose to take

    The Company

    5/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Company Parties/Events

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • There are opportunities to convert to a full time analyst, if you do will during the internship you will get the chance of joining. I would say they have the best analyst program since it really expands my knowledge across the business and gives me exactly what I want.

    3/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Yes, I'm good friends with all my intern classmates and people on my desk.

    3/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Quite expensive, but I study here and got used to it. the salary can cover all the cost during the 10 week.

    3/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • I would say quite a lot but this is not in my interest. People go out to watch football quite often.

    5/5
