    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • Rightly regarded as one of the best companies to do a placement year with. No tea or coffee making & actual responsibility on a number of projects & tasks. If you're looking for a placement that will really develop your business skills to the next level and then the one after that then this is the company to come to.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • Family like atmosphere in the team with people helping each other out with tasks etc. Great teamwork. Colleagues invited me to drinks after work & got me involved in some of their tasks etc.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • Was given a lot of support during my year here from my boss and director as they're really keen on making you more employable. I got a lot of good advice from them about how to improve at my job and what my options for the future could be

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Never drowning in work but always enough to keep you busy 5 days a week, at almost no points did I have very little to do.

    4/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • Lots, I was in charge of a global project landing in about 15 countries & also ran my own innovative project.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • Makes you realise how irrelevant a lot of your studies at university have been (referring to business degrees). Learning practical, day-to-day information about how businesses & teams work & having the opportunity to practice it every day for a year will help me for the rest of my life

    5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Relaxed, friendly but work focused. Birthdays were celebrated along with key events of the year like Valentine's day but there was a big focus on high quality, on time work

    5/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • Pretty well, although it was not made clear to me beforehand that I would not technically be employed by Unilever for my placement year.

    4/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • They offered me many opportunities to develop my skillset in & outside of the office.

  • Flexi Time

    Financial Bonus

    Working from home
