    The Role

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • I enjoyed the placement, but the city (Milton Keynes) has been a very average place to live, which impacted greatly on the scheme.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • I felt valued majority of the time but I also felt some of the work allocated was below me as I am a graduate completing a student placement (no grad scheme available at the time) and I think occasionally I was looked upon as a student and forgotten that I am at graduate level.

    4/5

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My Manager has been fantastic and I was given support in all areas of my role. I was not offered much support with personal development and had little to no interaction with the HR team here. The structure to all of our placements here has been very unorganised and lacking involvement from HR.

    4/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • Very busy and generally had a greater workload to the other students.

    5/5

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • I was given a lot of responsibility in terms of looking after my own projects and more so than the other students here. I think this was due to the fact I am a graduate and not a student.

    5/5

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • 5/5

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • Relaxed and friendly. Everyone has great work ethic and is very supportive

    4/5

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • There was little to no structure for the placement. I was left to my own accord to guide myself through most of the placement, however this possibly also gave more freedom and opportunities than other schemes.

    2/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Very little. Often asked HR for more but they weren't able to provide us with any.

    1/5

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Flexi Time

    Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    National Travel

    Company Parties/Events

    Working from home

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • 4/5

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • Little interaction between the students as not many on the placement

    1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Little to none - socialising is very poor. Cost of living is very high as well as travel

    1/5

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • It would be ok if there were more young people in the area to go out and socialise with

    1/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • 2/5
