    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I believe that I made the most of my placement, It did help that my colleagues were flexible and happy for me to crack on.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I did feel that I brought something to the table, it is difficult to make an impression in a month.

    4/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • Varying rotation gave varying support, understandably if there is a team going through a particularly busy period they will not be able to spend as much time with an intern.

    4/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The placement definitely assisted in expanding my knowledge, for example, I know that some of the work that I have been doing will go hand in hand with some of the modules that's I will have to undertake next year.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Originally I was only meant to be sitting in one team, however, I managed to swing a rotation so I could get some depth and variation in my experience> The teams were flexible to accommodate for me.

    3/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The office in Manchester is certainly less corporate than what it is in London. Different teams, different atmospheres and different types of people according to skill set. The same in any work place. Overall, I found people accommodating and happy to help.

    4/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • There wasn't a lot of time for training, there were pockets of training, however, I would say that I was fairly assertive and sought what I needed. I collected the resources that I needed and I am going to leave with them :)

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • It gave me a full incite to the job as a graduate.

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • There were pliantly of opportunities I took to socialise. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

    4/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • This wasn't particularly helpful as the stuff that you do on insights is all fairly ubiquitous in nature. I went off to find what I wanted to do by getting around the various teams and asking.

    3/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • All day every day.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Only downside is that people can mug you off for being an intern, not people from the company I was working at, just others outside it. 9 times out of 10 people were friendly and I made some good contacts.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes, only from socialising and talking about things outside of work.

    4/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • yes I would, I would recommended them to make the most of it and don't be afraid of asking.

    5/5
