    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • The week was informative, varied and enjoyable. I was able to undertake good quality work and was supported throughout. The week offered a good mix between work and social events.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?

    • I felt extremely valued during the week. I worked on current matters and felt like I was making a real contribution to the team.

    • I was paired with a Supervisor and a Buddy. Both were extremely supportive and were on hand to answer any questions that I had.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I have graduated from university. The skills will be less useful from an academic point of view, but will certainly be useful for future practice.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?

    • The week was well structured. I felt that there was a good mix of work and social events. I spent a good amount of time in my department and was able to take part in some interesting workshops alongside this.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?

    • The Bristol office is extremely friendly and the culture seems very unique. Everyone was approachable and open to questions.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?

    • I feel that the firm invested heavily in me. Fee-earners spent a lot of time answering my questions and providing feedback.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?

    • I have certainly increased my knowledge of the firm's training contract offering. I was exposed to a variety of different individuals (e.g. partners, trainees, graduate recruitment, business support) and was therefore able to receive a range of different responses to my questions.

    • As discussed, I have learnt a lot about the firm's vision, strategy and culture.

    • Extremely valuable. The insight has added to my motivation to pursue a career at the firm.

    • Approx. £100.

    • There were many events set-up to enable us to network and meet others (speed networking, partner breakfast, general tasks etc).

    • There was a good amount of social events. The events were varied and well spread out throughout the week.

    • Yes. The firm boasts a range of different societies and pro bono initiatives.
