Engineer Review

It was a very interesting insight into the world of engines and mechanical engineering. Being able to experience each sector of the production was very good and the placement was an overall wonderful insight into what a job on this business may look like e.g. what will be involved and what you have to do.

I was treat wonderfully at this establishment with everyone welcoming me at the start and being friendly to becoming good friends at the end. My time at this business was great and part of that was due to the way I was treat and how people were incredibly friendly to me.

A lot of guidance was given during my time at Cummins. I was able to gain a great understanding of what people do here due to the guidance that was given on the work so that I could also perform it and understand what goes on at this company for engineering.

I developed a lot of great and necessary skills in engineering by being able to work on the factory floor and get a feel for the hands on aspect of the job. Rather than looking at the theory behind everything I was able to become a better worker which cannot be taken for granted in this area of work.

Everything was scheduled and time tabled to the exact. It was very well organised and this assisted in the helpfulness of the experience. Due to the great structure I was able to work stress-free and enjoy the placement at the company without any hassle or complaint. The clearly organised structure also allowed me to be punctual.

It was great fun working there due to the people and the work. Both were great and allowed me to thoroughly enjoy the experience I had at the placement. Without the great people and atmosphere, I doubt the experience would have been half the fun and I think I would've learnt less than I did.

The company were very interested in me and what I was doing. I felt I was being trained well and that they wanted me to be there and learn about the company and the work they do. Overall I was able to learn a lot from this experience due to the care that was taken with me.

This experience has taught me how the world of work goes on and what I need to do at work. It's been a great time and allows me to understand what a full time job at a company like this would be and what I would have to do on a daily basis.

There was a few sessions where I learnt about the companies culture and what they stand for or do for charities to keep their reputation high on both those fronts. It was interesting to learn about these things and get involved in a few events to help them in charity work.

It's been very helpful and useful for deciding on what and where I want to work in the future. Isn't given me more ideas on the job I want to have and what areas I wish to work in, in the future and without it I wouldn't have this valuable information.

All expenses were reimbursed quickly and easily without any confusion or struggle.

There were some opportunities to find new contacts which was useful.

Again, there were few opportunities to network and fin people to talk to and contact for future reference.

I found out what some employees do after work and even got invited to a few.

Overall I had a wonderful experience and would fully recommend it to anyone.
