    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I very much enjoyed this insight at EY! This insight provided the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of bright, driven and talent employees and therefore this insight was an amazing learning opportunity. I honestly wish I could have spent longer at EY and I would recommend this insight to anyone interested in the sector.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • During my short time at EY, I was made to feel extremely well valued. Every single employee that I met with took the time to ask me questions about myself and the Recruitment Team made the effort to learn each of our names and they ensured we all had a very enjoyable experience.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • I felt very well supported during the time I spent at EY. Before I began the insight at EY, the HR team provided me with all the relevant information and were more than happy to answer any questions that I had. During all of the organised activities, graduates and junior employees were on hand to support us and answer any questions.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • As this was my first experience in the Auditing and Accounting sector, I believe that all of the information and knowledge that I received will be very beneficial in the future. Furthermore, on this insight, I had the opportunity to develop my communication and networking skills, which again, will benefit me in the future.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • I found the insight at EY to be well structured and I feel like I was able to get a lot out of this two day programme! All of the activities were tailored to our needs as university students and I found there to be a good mixture between networking, skills sessions and social events.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • There was a really great general atmosphere throughout the insight at EY. I found the atmosphere to be really warm and welcoming, which instantly put me at ease. Because of this, I always felt that I could ask questions and everyone was more than happy to answer all of our questions.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • I felt well invested in by EY, and it was evident just how much effort had been put into this insight programme by the firm. Whilst there was no training on this two day insight, there was plenty of investment into our personal development through networking sessions, skills session and different activities.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • This insight was very beneficial in helping me to understand what it would be like to have a full time role at EY. We had plenty of opportunities to network with and speak to current EY employees, who were very open with their experiences with the firm and therefore provided a honest insight to day to day life.

  • The insight is very beneficial in helping to understand more about the company culture at EY.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I found the content over the two days to be very beneficial in helping me to determine my future career path. It really opened my eyes to different roles and departments and I now have a much better understanding of where my skills and knowledge may be best suited in an organisation.

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was reimbursed travel expenses and EY provided hotel accommodation.


  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Yes, there were so many opportunities for networking and meeting EY employees on this insight programme! We had the opportunity to meet with the graduate cohort, which was very beneficial in finding out about the application process and what the graduate programme is really like. Furthermore, we had opportunities to meet with senior members of the firm, which again was very beneficial.

  • The networking and social events were great and EY employees were friendly, open and honest about their personal experiences during the networking events.

  • Yes, we found out about different opportunities that EY employees can get involved in.
