  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy your work placement or internship?
  • 10 - I have enjoyed my placement thoroughly, I have learned so much about my chosen career path and clarified what I wish to pursue in the future.

  • 9 - Everyone in my team and across the business area have made me feel very welcome and helped me every step of the way.

  • 10 - My line manager and other supporting managers have been great in helping me throughout the year.

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • 10 - for me, my job role has various busy periods and quiet periods so sometimes i was really busy and others i had time to focus on my university work and prepare for the next busy period.

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • 10 - I was given lot's of responsibility and for me that felt like my manager trusted me to do a good job, but not necessarily expect me to know everything - if i needed help i would get it.

  • 9 - What i have learned has definitely helped to prepare me for future career paths and plans.

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • 9 - I worked in a lively department where we were encouraged to take part in things outside of the office too if we wanted to!

  • 10 - good set up, and they are open to feedback to improve on anything you have concerns about

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • 10 - If i felt i needed any training my line manager would discuss this with me and i went on a number of training courses which i felt would benefit me.

  • 9 - i'm already having discussions of coming back!

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • 10 - we all ensured we would meet up as often as possible outside of work, and most days we would have lunch together.

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • 7/8 - Hatfield wasn't too badly priced, if we were to go places we would tend to go to St Albans / London and so could be a tad more pricey..

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • 8 - There's a university here so student nights and student clubs nearby - although probably wouldn't recommend a "Cheeky Wednesday" if you have a 9am meeting Thursday!

  • 8 - In my department especially they encouraged this.
