  • Fantastic experience

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued by your colleagues?
  • My colleagues have worked tirelessly to make sure that i have been included in many different activities and we work incredibly closely. This was great beause it made the transition from university to work very easy since everyone around me was so friendly, this helped out greatly. t t t

  • 3. To what extent were you given support and guidance by management/your supervisor(s)?
  • My managers have been nothing but supportive when i have brought projects to them, and offered easy to hear guidance when i needed it. There have been times when managers have been harder to get hold of than i would have liked but this is because they have been involved in their own work

    5/5

  • 4. How busy were you on a daily basis?
  • I had days whereby i was busier than others but i found the work life balance to be great. There were days whereby i found myself overworked and overwhelmed with responsibilities, but there were also times when i had to find work to do for myself f f f f

  • 5. How much responsibility were you given during your placement?
  • There were times when i felt overwhelmed with responsibilities and times when i felt i did not have enough, however i think overall the responsibilities i did have were deserved and i succeeded in them. There have been times when i did not feel that i had enough responsibility within a project.

  • 6. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and training you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • My training, both informal and formal, that i have received on the job have been great. They have offered me a new view on the industry i want to work in and have given me a new insight in which to tackle university from. This has been a fantastic asset in planning my future

    The Company

  • 7. What was the general atmosphere in your office?
  • The general atmosphere in the office was great. Understandably there were times when it was not so great, this was mainly due to issues with management and t and e. This became more prevalent throughout the year and became more obvious that the atmosphere can change very easily. t t

  • 8. How well organised was the overall work placement or internship set up?
  • In general the work placement was organised very well. There were times as i stated earlier that i had to find my own work but i believe thats just part of the job, this was great because it allowed me to dip my toes into many different fields without being too invested.

    5/5

  • 9. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The personal training within intel has been ok. The training provided by intel has been very internally focused, this has been helpful within my career but has not been very helpful outside of it. This meant that i feel very able to understand how intel works but do not feel that i understand too much more.

  • 10. What were the perks on your work placement?
  • Subsidised Canteen

    Subsidised/Company Gym

    National Travel

    Financial Bonus

    Working from home

    Healthcare/Dental

    3/5

  • 11. How appealing are future employment prospects within the organisation?
  • Unfortunately when it comes down to future prospects within intel, i have been disuaded. This is because of intels size. It is a slow moving beast and this can be very frustrating when it comes down to getting things done. i think when i first start my career i need to be somewhere more fast moving and dynamic.

    The Culture

  • 12. Was there a good social scene amongst any fellow placement students/colleagues?
  • 1/5

  • 13. What was the cost of living and socialising in the area you worked in?
  • Unfortunately because intels uk hq was in swindon, i decided to move to the next city. This meant that 3/4 of my wage went on travelling to work. i have been lucky enough to be able to work from home at least 1 day a week, however has still burnt a hole in my pocket this year.

  • 14. What was the Nightlife like in the area you worked?
  • The nightlife in the city i lived in was fantastic, however in swindon it was not so great.

    2/5

  • 15. Were there many opportunities to get involved in activities outside of work?
  • There were a few opportunities but i decided not to be involved due to how far away i lived.
