    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • The program was extremely enjoyable. Though it was just 3 days, the time looked short lived due to the quality of all the programs and the openness of all employees to make us know about the firm and its culture. It was a very different experience than traditional internships and I felt it was quite innovative.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt quite valued. All the members of the firm were quite approachable and it was a great networking session. The program was altered properly for the spring insights and the ice breaking sessions, knowing other members felt that it was designed for us. The dinner with the employees was a very good experience.

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • There was no limit to the amount of guidance and support received during the program. The networking sessions were very well structured, and asking the same questions and receiving different perspective each time was quite fascinating. The members were quite open and frank and I did not feel any hesitation to ask any doubts.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The skills and the sessions held were very much adhered to the ones required for the assessment and to the way the firm works. Since the time was extremely limited, it was not possible to build skills for the degree but it nevertheless gave great insights into what is required in the corporate world.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • According to me, the insight program was extremely well structured. The breadth and depth of the topics touched were quite a lot. The timing was well defined and ample to sufficiently cover all topics. There was well guided instruction for each task and doubts were well handled as well during the sessions.

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was very vibrant with knowledgable colleagues from different backgrounds. There were group networking sessions which made everyone know each other and develop good relations. All members were quite involved in all the activities and it was great to have such good peers to support and challenge one at the same time.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • The firm did a lot of research to come up with the best means to conduct the program. The group exercise and other briefings were quite helpful. The sessions like pen paper programming, networking were well tailored to be covered in the short time frame. The networking sessions held increased further confidence.

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • Entirely. The work shadowing sessions actually gave a knowledge of what's happening in different areas of the firm. The talk with the representatives of all domains from recent grads to VPs gave an understanding of the perceptions at different levels of the employees. At the end, I had a good broad understanding of what a full time role would comprise of.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The company culture could be well grasped through the spring insight program. The work shadowing sessions comprised of going to the actual floors to see what is taking place and how work is done in different departments and we could grasp the culture of the company and its employees in different areas.

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • Having a career in technology was what I desired for long but looking into the various domains of what happens in various sectors gave a broader version of what aspects of technology could I possibly go into. Thus the content was quite good enough to let us know what the firm does.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • The company paid 200 euros for the travel cost. As I was travelling from Paris, this was important. Also, an accommodation was provided within 15 minutes of the company to all who desired. The rooms could be single or double. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were provided on certain days and 10 pound voucher for the remaining.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There were ample opportunities for networking. During lunch, representatives were called who answered all our questions in a detailed manner. The dinner brought out a good chance to network with everyone on an informal basis and know about career paths, decisions and how things function in the firm. The work shadowing sessions also made us meet a lot new people.

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • They were quite well arranged. There was one with the VPs and other sessions and it was quite good to see people of such high ranks take time out to patiently answer all our doubts. We could also interact with recent grads who were in our shoes a year or two back and know of their experience.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • Yes, we could ask all type of questions and we came to know of the activities. There were so many voluntary activities conducted by the firm and many employees participated. Also, many socialised beyond work hours. Others were indulged in coding activities and other recreational hobbies which were quite interesting.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • Definitely. This insight could be a good and productive way to spend the spring with your dream company and the sector where you want to work in. The people in the company are really working hard to make the program even better in the coming years and this a perfect opportunity to know about the firm and its culture.
