About You
A great vacation scheme. Everyone was really approachable and not at all terrifying.
The work I was given was real work and not just something that had been made up.
I always received feedback on my work and I was told to always ask any questions that I may have.
I learnt a lot about how to work within a firm but mostly it motivated me to excel myself in my career aspirations having experienced what it would be like once qualified and beyond. The exercises and assessment were also good experience for future ones.
The Company
Very well structured - all feedback is welcomed and sought by the firm and they put a lot of effort into improving it.
Everyone works hard and even during stressful periods, the senior members were joking around and inspiring others to maintain a positive attitude. Definitely a great place to work.
There were plenty of internal opportunities to learn something and receive a bit of training, but generally it was about getting stuck into some real legal work.
As well as reasonably could have. The trainees were heavily involved in the process and took it upon themselves to interact with us and give details about the firm.
Very well. You learn a lot from the open planned environment (not consistent throughout the firm) as you generally see and overhear how they work. Staff are more than happy to explain something to you.
Valuable, it has motivated me and I know what type of firm I want to work at.
Everything Else
Paid for the week.
Yes, plenty.
At least 2 with additional ones being arranged during the week.
A lot of sports and extra curricular things. The firm is quite supportive of new ideas apparently.
Yes absolutely.
