    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Thoroughly enjoyed every single moment spent in the insight. Every event and activity was smoothly organised and on schedule. Speakers called in had a wide range of experiences from graduates to veterans in the industry. Plenty of opportunities to network with fellow peers and seasoned professionals in Barclays. Definitely not an experience you can get from anywhere else.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The Human Resource team was always there to help us and facilitate our orientation into the company. Everyone was well taken care of and was in top condition to learn as much as we could during the week. Moreover, everyone had an equal chance to speak and ask questions during the various sessions.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • 3/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • The atmosphere was calm and everyone was very motivated to benefit as much as possible from this rare opportunity given to us. Everyone was very willing to make friends with each other and learn about each other's university lives and cultures. Due to the seating arrangement (typically a U-Shape/ around a meeting table), it made it seem less like a class, but more of a discussion.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • We had training in teamwork where we found out the different types of group workers we were. We also had training in public speaking, which would definitely come in useful when pitching ideas to our future bosses and clients. Lastly, learning at such a fast pace in duration of the week definitely gave us a taste of what it would be like in the initial phases of the summer internship/graduate program in the future.

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • This insight gave us an opportunity to interact with various employees of Barclays. This led us to first hand experience the warm and friendly culture of the bank. This culture was embodied by everyone we met and truly gave us a good idea of what to expect if we ever joined the company full-time.
