About You
A really enjoyable insight programme at PwC and I truly enjoyed every aspect of the week. Employees were very friendly and welcoming, treating me as a respected and valued member of the team. There was a great atmosphere in the office and I had a such an enjoyable time at the organisation!
I felt well valued throughout my time at PwC. Having completed a confidentiality form before beginning my time with the firm, I was able to work on live projects, having the opportunity to contribute to team work. My team were very appreciative of my work and they included me in team events and meetings.
I felt well supported for the duration of this insight week at PwC. We were well-supported before, during and after the insight programme by the Graduate Recruitment Team and my team provided me with great career guidance! They were more than happy to answer any questions I had and provided constructive feedback.
During the week, I developed an array of skills and knowledge that will help me in the future. This included general office skills, such as writing emails and communicating in a business setting. Furthermore, I developed valuable knowledge about the auditing and tax sector, which will benefit me in the future.
The Company
The overall structure of the insight week at PwC was very good. There was a good variety of desk work, team building activities and information sessions. We were provided with a detailed timetable for the insight, which was very beneficial and during the activities sessions, we were provided with plenty of time for breaks, so it didn’t feel too full-on.
The general atmosphere at PwC was really great. I found all the employees to be very approachable and friendly towards not only us but also to other colleagues. I always felt that I could comfortably approach employees to have a conversation and they were very receptive, happy to answer questions and provide guidance.
Despite the short amount of time I spent at PwC (5 days in total), I felt that the firm invested a great deal into our personal development. The graduate recruitment team organised a number of information sessions and workshops aimed at improving our employability skills. These sessions were great for personal development.
During our time at PwC, we had plenty of opportunities to speak with employees at the firm. This provided the opportunity to ask about their roles and what it is like to work for the firm full time. Spending time working on a specific desk allowed us to experience this first hand also.
Before undertaking the insight programme, I had a preconceived idea about the culture at PwC, expecting it to be very corporate and cut-throat. However, this could not be further from the reality. There was a great culture at PwC and employees embodied the values of the firm, making it a great environment to be in.
I found the content of the programme to be very useful and has re-enforced my intentions to pursue a career in auditing. I had the opportunity to experience what it would be like to have a full time role in the company and working on live projects allowed me to get a real understand of whether my skills and knowledge would fit within this sector.
Everything Else
I was paid for my time on this insight programme. Furthermore, PwC reimbursed my travel expenses and organised accommodation for us.
There were so many different opportunities for networking on this programme!
Really enjoyable networking and social events! Good variety of different activities.
Yes, lots of different opportunities, from sports teams to volunteering opportunities.
