    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • It was a very good experience with supportive staff, cool students and great seniors. From the beggining to the end we didn't feel pressure, we were there to learn about the culture of the firm, the different divisions and some other valuable things. I didn't put a perfect score because i was a little bit sick (not jp's fault) and there are things to improve for the next few years

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • I felt very appreciated. At JP they do everything to make you feel welcome and it's great. They are lovely people and made sure all our questions were answered (even if most of the time we didn't have any). They paid for everything, travel and accomodations something very appreciated coming from abroad, and even organized a social event for us !

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • They greeted us at the beginning of each day and asked questions and comments at the end of each day and each presentation. There were three people to guide us and they were competent and smiling. They also gave us a booklet with the programme so we never felt lost about what we were doing and when

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • I must say that I did a lot of research on spring weeks because it's not in our culture (at my level, spring weekers are in first year of business school or master, so bac+3 or bac +4) most information (except the structure of the group) I already knew them (philantropy, reputation culture etc) For my degree...nothing because I am studying abroad and it was not very technical but to understand JP's culture and divisions it is very useful

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • Well structured. The program was written in the booklet they gave us so that we know from the beginning what we will do. BUT it's the program itself that they should change.Do it longer (3 days it's not enough) some had questions after presentations that they could not ask for (lack of time) more work shadowing etc etc

    4/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • From the bottom up they are great people although sometimes I had difficulties expressing myself they were understanding. I met so really cool students. Social event and lunch were great, their canteen is awesome their place big and clean. It makes you want to work there because from what we saw it feels like heaven. In addition I was part of the winning team of the project they organized twice so my heart and my stomach were...happy :)

    5/5

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • Seniors, interns and graduate took the time to talk about their work and JP several times. They really wanted to help us and were listening to us. They printed for us a beautiful booklet and gave us a notebook with a pen. Moreover there was someone from Fitch...that came to explain to us valuable things

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • I understood what it is to work at JP because everything I saw confirmed my long research. In terms of atmosphere, people seem supportive and passionate. The problem is that we did not have the opportunity to see all the divisions (during the work shadowing) and I would have liked to see them in action...

    4/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • We had an overview of all layers of the hierarchy and they all helped us understand the culture of jp

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • I was pretty sure in which company style I would like to work (in total opposition to where I'm studying) and as we do spring week later in our studies in France we have more perspective and know what we want and like as we already know that we will do a career in finance. This spring week confirmed my thoughts on the atmosphere during my research and helped me understand the different divisions and the progress that we can make during our carreer. Nevertheless I still have questions because the system (about the graduate program and what we call "césure" in France for instance) is really different elsewhere

    5/5

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • There were no reasons to be paid, I think....But it's so good to have everything (except dinner for day 2 and 3 and clothes of course) paid.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • Many opportunies for networking and meeting other employees. In fact, that what's we did most of our time, listening to presentations of executives, interns and graduates. We also met them during work shadowing and lunch networking

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • Cool, the first social event we had was between students, a cool moment outside of the company. Then the others were during the spring and for lunch so it was also cool. However I think there should have been one more intern and one more senior because sometimes there were 4 or 5 students for one person...

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • People in the philantropy division came for 30 minutes to explain what some employees during their free time (there are many BRGs). Jp provided them courses to train for excel of cima for example. I also visited the neighborhood so I saw the large number of bars and restaurants in Canary Wharf :)

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
  • I would totally recommend this insight to a friend or anyone who want to work in this company. You understand what matters the most working for JP (even though you have already have a little idea if you have been selected...)You meet other cool students, great and lovely staff. BUT not long enough and not very technical, so what you learn here is not useful for my degree..although it's a VERY good line in my cv for the application for master I think
