    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • I was given an excellent insight to what life would be like at JP Morgan Bournemouth working for their technology department. I was given time to talk to current graduate program workers who were able to answer all questions that I had going into the internship, work shadowing was one of the highlights.

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • During the time I spent at JP Morgan I was extremely well looked after and was treated very kindly by all members of staff no matter if they were directors or other interns. I felt very much that JP Morgan wanted me there and was pleased that they had interns and did everything they could to welcome us and make us feel valued.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • The recruitment team that I spent most of my time with from the beginning of the day when they were waiting to greet us to the end of the day they were there to support us the whole time we were there we were given emails and phone numbers of them if we had any queries and nothing was too much trouble for them.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • JP Morgan have inspired me to continue to work hard at my education but also gain qualifications outside of my current university degree that I have found would be useful at JP Morgan. Things not covered by my curriculum such as pen testing certifications would be useful to work for their cyber security department for example.

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • It was easy to tell that every part of the program had been extremely well thought out and planned right from the beginning not a moment was wasted, they were also very interested in any way we thought they could make the program better for future years but there wasn't much any of us would change.

    5/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Throughout the week there was an inspiring atmosphere at JP Morgan, being around so many people all striving to be the best they could be inspires all of them around them to do the same. Also being with other interns who had different skills to me allowed me to learn their skills and share mine.

  • 7. In terms of personal training and development, to what extent did the company or firm invest in you?
  • It is hard for me to comment on this as I was only on a week long internship program however speaking to other people on the graduate program they told me that there is plenty of opportunity to progress and continue education through training programs provided by JP Morgan Chase.

    4/5

  • 8. To what extent did the insight help you to understand what it would be like to have a full time role with the company or firm?
  • The insight was extremely valuable in terms of allowing us to understand what roles we would undertake if we had a full time role at the firm. This was aided massively by spending time with actual employees, I got the feeling there were very honest about their jobs which was very helpful.

    5/5

  • 9. How much did the insight help you in understanding the company culture?
  • The program was an excellent insight into the JP Morgan culture.

    5/5

  • 10. How valuable was the content in helping you to decide on your future career path?
  • The content was well thought out and very helpful to my future decisions.

    Everything Else

  • 11. Were you paid or reimbursed adequately for this experience?
  • I was reimbursed all expenses for this program including them paying for the hotel that was booked, I was local enough to organise my own travel however others there were from further away and the company paid for their flights and transport to the hotel from the airport, they expect you to pay for nothing.

  • 12. Were there opportunities for networking and meeting other employees of the company or firm?
  • There was huge opportunities for this we met managing directors, vice presidents in their areas and many other people within different jobs in the firm, they were able to answer any questions we had and help point us in the right direction if there was any questions they couldn't answer.

    5/5

  • 13. How were the networking/ social event opportunities?
  • The networking events were excellently organised and allowed me to meet and communicate with a great number of employees at the firm.

    5/5

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?
  • The employees told me many of their extra curricular activities that they get involved with including things such as language classes and sports all provided by JP Morgan.

    5/5

  • 15. Would you recommend this insight to a friend?
