About You
It was an amazing experience, not only professionally but also personally, and I really recommend it.
Deutsche Bank made a huge effort for us to make the most of the Spring into Banking. The HR team was constantly looking after us and organized a very intense week that allowed us not only to learn and develop our professional skills, but also to meet many interesting people.
The HR team was always accessible to us, willing to guide us when we needed it. Moreover, the rest of the employees of DB were also extremely close and willing to share their experience with us and be helpful.
It was a very intense week that allowed me to develop and assimilate several professional and interpersonal skills, which I'm sure will be useful for my studies and professional career. I widened my knowledge about financial products, valuation methodologies, etc., and developed my networking, communicative, teamwork and leadership skills, among others.
The Company
The insight was structured in detail and very efficiently, with many different kinds of sessions (networking, work shadowing, skill trainings, etc.) and no wasted time.
The atmosphere was professional but, at the same time, friendly and collaborative. I can actually say that I have made many friends during the Spring into Banking. I have also made lots of interesting professional contacts.
Deutsche Bank made a huge investment in our personal training and development, allowing us to work shadow their analysts in different divisions and to network with many senior bankers. Also, we attended to several technical presentations by internal and external professionals.
The Spring into Banking exposed me to what is like to be an investment banking analyst, since I had the opportunity to work shadow different analysts during one day an a half. I could observe how do they work and ask all the questions I had.
Not only we received presentations about the company's culture and values, but also we could perceive them with our own experience, through work shadowing and the networking sessions, that allowed us to meet several employees within the different divisions of DB.
I allowed me to confirm that I want to make a career out of investment banking.
Everything Else
I am from Barcelona (Spain) and Deutsche Bank took care of my accommodation and traveling expenses. This means that all students coming from out of London were in the same hotel, what was very fun.
During the SiB at Deutsche Bank I was able to meet several analysts, associates and senior employees during the panels, the networking sessions and the networking. I even had lunch with several analysts on Wednesday and Thursday.
As I said before, there were many networking and social events opportunities to meet several employees of Deutsche Bank with different seniority levels. There were also social events that allowed me to meet different international students who have diverse backgrounds.
The analysts shared their way of life with us, and I could realize how close their relationship is. They work a lot and spend many hours in the office, but also they enjoy different activities together outside of work (sport, restaurants, going out, etc.).
Definitely yes, not only as an amazing professional experience but also as a personal one.
