    About You

  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?
  • Extensive programme with a focus on software engineering and networking. As someone who has a data analytics background it was slightly hard to enjoy all of the programme but it was nicely structured with talks and interactive sessions.

    4/5

  • 2. To what extent did you feel valued during your time at the company or firm?
  • The project supervisors were extremely helpful and informative. They have given us so much help that I did not expect at all from Goldman Sachs. Definitely feel extremely valued.

    5/5

  • 3. How much guidance/support did you receive during the insight?
  • A lot of guidance on the project and how Goldman Sachs works as a firm. However, most of the guidance has to be sought with your own initiative.

    5/5

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?
  • The interactive workshops were useful to future programming assessments. I have gained a basic insight into big data processes which I did not learn before. We also got to know a lot of Goldman Sachs' in-house technology which was very interesting.

    4/5

    The Company

  • 5. How well structured was the insight?
  • First two days were a bit dull in terms of content. Otherwise the work shadowing sessions were a bit long and it really depends on the people you meet for those sessions. I guess having a sign up sheet for workshadowing and having the opportunity to explore the areas you were more interested in would be a good idea.

    3/5

  • 6. How was the general atmosphere during your insight?
  • Atmosphere was amazing as people were extremely helpful, and got to meet a lot of experts. Work ethics was good throughout the group project too.
