About You
Extensive programme with a focus on software engineering and networking. As someone who has a data analytics background it was slightly hard to enjoy all of the programme but it was nicely structured with talks and interactive sessions.
The project supervisors were extremely helpful and informative. They have given us so much help that I did not expect at all from Goldman Sachs. Definitely feel extremely valued.
A lot of guidance on the project and how Goldman Sachs works as a firm. However, most of the guidance has to be sought with your own initiative.
The interactive workshops were useful to future programming assessments. I have gained a basic insight into big data processes which I did not learn before. We also got to know a lot of Goldman Sachs' in-house technology which was very interesting.
The Company
First two days were a bit dull in terms of content. Otherwise the work shadowing sessions were a bit long and it really depends on the people you meet for those sessions. I guess having a sign up sheet for workshadowing and having the opportunity to explore the areas you were more interested in would be a good idea.
Atmosphere was amazing as people were extremely helpful, and got to meet a lot of experts. Work ethics was good throughout the group project too.
