  • 1. To what extent did you enjoy the insight?

    • This week was a very good and entertaining insight into what goes on at Barclays. We learnt about how Barclays operates and what the technology roles entail.

    • Everyone at Barclays has very strong core values and this was very apparent with everyone that I met during the spring week.

    • I received a lot of guidance in the different streams at Barclays and what they entail. It has given me a clear insight into what it is like at Barclays and I have a better idea on what I want to do moving forward in the future.

  • 4. To what extent did/will the skills you developed, and information you received, assist you in your degree studies and beyond?

    • I think it has helped me a lot with networking and improving personal brand which I think will assist me and be very beneficial for me in the future. It is definitely worth going to the spring week as you gain a lot of valuable skills.

    • For the insight we got a structured timetable on a handy app which kept the week very clear and structured.

    • The atmosphere was very positive and I felt very comfortable throughout.

    • The staff and the company invested a lot of time out of their days to inform us on the company and provided a lot of insight.

    • I think I know a lot about what it would be like to have a full time role with the company and this stretches to multiple different roles across the technology sector.

    • The insight helped me in understanding the company culture greatly and I think I have a very good insight.

    • There were lots of events held for meeting all the different members of staff.

    • They were very good and were over breakfast lunch and dinner on different days which I think is a good way to meet the staff at Barclays in the relaxed environment.

  • 14. Did you find out about activities that employees can get involved in outside of work?

    • Yes there is a variety of sport facilities on the campus in which you can use throughout the week at dinner times.

    • Yes, definitely was a very valuable and enjoyable experience.
