The Role
The work was challenging and invigorating with new events and tasks to manage on a daily basis.
As the youngest member of the team with little experience compared to the industry professionals I worked with, they made me feel like a valued member all the time.
I was supported throughout my entire time
Most of the time there was always something to get on with. But there would be occasional times that are quiet in-between events and campaigns
A lot for an intern
I was sent to a lot of marketing conferences which was great for gaining knowledge and understanding alongside making some great contacts
The Company
A lot of my colleagues were out of the office in meetings etc so the office wasn't always at it's fullest, but when I was it really was!
From my expectations of a placement it was quite different in the sense that I was given responsibility, with a lot of independent learning to get on
Extensively
International Travel
Company Parties/Events
Good, but you'd have to create a niche area in which you could offer a particular service in if you wanted to carry on
The Culture
No other placement students, but my colleague's loved hearing my university stories and sharing theirs with me
Cost in my area is always expensive
Not quite like how it is at uni
Not really
