The Role
Thoroughly enjoying my placement, gave me a good insight what life would be like beyond university.
You aren't treated differently being on placement, you feel part of the team and treated like one of the other members of staff who are more experienced.
Regular training and support sessions are carried out to ensure you are on track, anything you are unsure on there is always someone to ask/help.
Very busy all day as never off the phones for more than a few minutes. Challenging but enjoyable.
You are given as much responsibility as any other member of staff but given your own personal targets and ensuring you are contributing to the team targets.
Given me alot of independence and confidence to go forward in my final year at university. Astute has also given me skills to transfer to university and benefit me to do my dissertation.
The Company
Very busy and bubbly. When you hear people making sales/booking leads around you it creates a buzz that everyone is motivated by.
Well organised, always had something to do and knew what you were doing at all times.
Alot of training was given as I had no previous sales experience which ensured that I was on the right track.
Company Parties/Events
I would be very happy going back to Astute in the future after my degree has been completed.
The Culture
All the placements students got on really well and the social side of Astute ensured that we merged with the other colleagues.
Average. Easy to manage costs of living/socialising
Great nightlife
Regular events and incentives for doing well and reaching targets.
