The Role
I worked for motionglobal, an australian e-commerce company. However, Go Abroad were awful. They ruined my whole trip in China and made my trip a living nightmare. This company is a scam, do not go with them.
I didn't feel valued by the staff at all. They just wanted my money and thats all.
I wasn't given any guidance by GA. If anything they were actively trying to make my life worse. They promised me a place at Tenneco but that is just a front, and told me about it a month before my departure. After, they messed up my accomdation so I had to do homestay. The place was really dirty, no toilet roll, just newspaper. The room was so dusty that I found it really hard to breathe. I had to go to work and after view accomodation at night, it was really stressful and they pressured me into choosing a place in rural Shanghai by saying that if I dont choose one I have to do homestay.
Pretty busy all the time, most days I was doing 10-11 hour days.
I was given alot of various tasks. It was an okay placement however, I felt undervalued there.
I had some training in GA and other marketing tools.
The Company
It was pretty quite and awkward.
It was okay, not really that organised, I kind of chose what I wanted to do aand how I should do it.
Nothing, just gave me tasks to complete no monetary investment was given to me.
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
No very appealing at all, it is just a company you use to gain basic skills and move up the career chain.
The Culture
Yes, alot. We would go out together alot.
It was reasonable.
Really bad, but you would go to the centre of shanghai.
No none at all.
