The Role
I Was Able To Do Many Things Including Working With Medicines, Checking The Shop Floor For Any Production Like Tablets or Creams That May Have Been Out Of Date or Nearing Their Expiry Date, I Was Able To Complete Many Other Tasks And Enjoyed Doing Everything I Did, I Never Got Bored Or Had Nothing To Do
Everyone That I Worked With Welcomed Me In To The Business Kindly, Everyone Has Their Own Individual Thing To Do So Your Not Clashing With Other Workers At The Company, However When You Do Have Chance To Talk With Other Employees They Will Communicate With You And Won't Make You Feel Like A Stranger Whilst Completing Your Placement
From Day One Of My Placement, My Supervisor Told Me Exactly What It Was That He Wanted Me To Do And Anything That I was Unsure Of He Managed To Talk Through and Sometimes Demonstrate How To Do That Particular Task, When Ever I Needed Help I Could Ask My Supervisor And I Was Always Given An Answer Along The Lines Of What To Do And How To Do It
Every Time I Went To My Work Placement, I Would Be Given A Different Task Each Day, Some Days Multiple Tasks To Complete, Some Jobs Your Always Busy Like When Your Checking Dates On The Shop Floor or Sorting Through Prescriptions But Other Tasks You Didn't Really Have Much To Do Like When I Had To Shadow Other Workers And Helped Check Orders, So How Busy You Are Depends On What Task Your Completing
In Every Task That I was Given To Complete After I Was Given My Clear Instructions I Was Left Alone To Get On With The Work I Needed To Finish, The Only Time I Needed Someone Else Present What When I Needed Assistance In Completing Different Activities Like Checking Orders Off As Something Things Were Missing
I'm Currently Studying Criminology and Forensics So Learning About The Different Effects Of Medicines And Other Products Will Assist Me When I Do My Studies If I Need To Know The Cause Of Death Or Injury To Someone, Also, Working Independently Will Help Me As Going In To Criminology and Forensics I Will Need To Be Able To Work Independently To Complete Tasks And Jobs That Have To Be Done
The Company
In The Work Place That I Was In There Was A Warm Friendly Atmosphere At Times You Felt Like You Were At Home, However When There Was Work To Complete The Atmosphere Changed And It Was Strictly Work Based, Due To Working Around Medicines This Was The Correct Atmosphere That was Needed To Ensure That No Mistakes Were Made Whilst I Was Learning In The Work Place
When I Went In To Ask For My Placement I Was Greater Kindly And Instantly Accepted To Carry Out My Placement At His Establishment, Whilst I Was There I Was Always Given Something To Do Which Proved That Everything Was Well Structured And That They Weren't Just Playing A Guessing Game And Workers Weren't Unsure What They Needed To Do, The Work Place Was Well Structured and Organised
I Wasn't Ignored Whilst I Was There, The Staff That I worked With Were Always Engaging With Me As Well As Completing Their Tasks That They Had To Do, If I Every Needed Help, All The Workers Were There To Offer A Hand And Help when I needed It, The Staff Allowed Me To Get On With My Tasks And They Got On With Their Tasks When It Got Busy In The Pharmacy

If I Was To Get A Job With This Pharmacy I Wouldn't Be Doing What I Initially Wanted To Do, When I Leave Education I Will Be Going In To The Office Of Criminology Therefore Working In A Pharmacy Will Not Help Me In The Future, However If Offered A Part Time Job I Would Take The Offer But Only Until I Finished University
The Culture
The People That I Worked With Were All Older Than Me So I Didn't Really Socialise Much With Them, However Inside The Work Place We Did Communicate About Work Things Like Different Jobs And How To Do Them, I Feel That If I Was Older or There Were Other Students At The Establishment Then There Would Have Been Some Sort Of Social Scene Amongst Workers and Other Employees
I Live In The Same Area As The Place I Worked In, There Are Multiple Shops Around The Establishment Including Supermarkets and Food Stores, There Are Plenty Of Things To Do It You Want To Socialise With People, There Is Not Really Many Things Around The Work Place That Are Expensive, Everything Is Relatively Cheap And Easy To Get To
In The Place That I Worked There Wasn't Any Nightlife As I Didn't Carry Out My Placement During The Night, My Placement Was Carried Out Between Morning and Afternoon Hours I Didn't Carry It Out At Night As The Place I Didn't My Experience At Wasn't Open At Night, However I Would Assume That There Wouldn't Be Much Nightlife IN A Pharmacy
Whilst At My Work Placement I Didn't End Up Doing Anything Out Side Of The Work Place, The Experience I Completed Didn't Really Leave Me With Any Potential Job Opportunities Or Anything Along The Lines Of Pharmacy However This Did Not Effect Me As I Do Not Want To Go In To This Area Of Work I Want To Go Toward Criminology not Pharmacy
