About You
I enjoyed the Open Office Day very much. It is a very useful way to have an insight into PwC, what they do and how they work.
I felt valued, was listened to, had questions answered and it was a nice atmosphere.
Full support and guidance. Any questions I had were answered.
I have graduated already so it won't aid my degree studies. However, the information we received was incredibly useful as the graduate recruitment process was clearly explained and we were given examples of the kind of assessments that would be used in the process.
The Company
The structure of the Open Office Day was great. The day was clearly planned out and we knew what it was going to consist of at the very start.
There were a number of last minute cancellations (it was a grey, rainy Monday morning!) so there were 10 of us in total in the end. But that was fine. Atmosphere was friendly and relaxed.
This was a one day event with the aim of giving participants an insight into the graduate recruitment process at PwC. With that in mind, personal training and development was based around this. The practice assessment leaflet and group exercise we took part in during the event was very useful and will definitely help with development etc.
We had 3 recent recruits take part in the day to give us an insight into what they do within the company and what their background was. We were able to ask them about their careers and the departments they worked in which was useful. It was also great to be at the actual PwC buildings to see what was happening and how people were interacting.
It was useful in this regard as we were able to speak with the recent recruits who were telling us about their experiences. The company culture came across very positively.
Very useful. It has got me thinking a lot and was an incredibly informative day. I would recommend it to anyone who is thinking of applying to the PwC graduate recruitment scheme. It really is a must.
Everything Else
There wasn't really anything to be reimbursed for so this question is not really applicable. We were well looked after and PwC even provided lunch and drinks for us which was very thoughtful.
Yes. As mentioned before, 3 of the more recent recruits joined us during the first half of the day and this was great. They gave a valuable insight into the company and what it is like to work there.
As this was an event that lasted for just a day this question is not really that relevant I guess, but we were able to meet with the 3 employees that took part in the first half of the day and also the other participants of the open day.
We were more focused around the graduate recruitment process rather that activities outside of work, but some social activities were mentioned.
Absolutely yes! It really is an incredibly useful day if you are thinking of or want to apply for PwC's graduate recruitment scheme. Even if you are currently going through the recruitment process and have applied already it will be incredibly useful for you as you will find out about what to expect at the next stage. Do it!
