The Role
Working at Cancer Research UK was an awesome 3 months that massively exceeded my expectations
Definitely! At CRUK interns aren't just tea brewers you get the opportunity to do genuine work and fit in with your team
I was given guidance all the way!
Very busy! But like opportunities you get out what you put in
You do actual project work that is useful to the area you are working in
Skills workshops and a focus on personal development mean I will take a huge amount out of my time at CRUK
The Company
Very friendly and welcoming
Very well organised, the Intern manager was very helpful with any queries and organised a lot of excellent sessions
A great deal, CRUK put a huge amount into your personal development through workshops, mentoring sessions, CV checks etc.
Very appealing (Interns are encouraged to apply for entry level roles)
The Culture
Interns were all very outgoing and social
Its central London so expensive but Taste, the CRUK café, was reasonably priced
I didn't go out but there's plenty of pubs
Yeah intern fundraising was a big opportunity and we hosted a pub quiz
