The Role
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement, the work load was the perfect amount to ensure I felt valued but not under pressure. The people I worked with were all lovely and made me feel very appreciated.
I felt very valued by my collegaues. We had frequent meetings during the first couple of months to ensure I was progressing and this ensured I felt valued.
I was given a huge amount of support by my manager, our desks were opposite and I always felt able to ask her questions or advice on the tasks I was doing. She also supported me when I expressed an interest in other areas such as social media and arranged for me to visit one of our agencies.
On a daily basis I always had enough to do, without feeling under pressure. The tasks I was doing always felt relevant and I could see how they had a wider impact on the business, this ensured I always felt valued within the team.
I was given a large amount of responsibilty during my placement, and always felt like they trusted me with the work I was doing.
I think the skills I learnt will highly assist in my further studies and beyond as now I feel much more capable on managing work loads and are much more organised.
The Company
The general atmosphere in the office felt very relaxed, I felt open to talk to everyone and made good relationships with lots of people. The dress code was smart causal, which was nice as this meant the atmoshphere didnt feel too smart or serious. within my team everyone got on extremely well and we sometimes went for team meals and also drinks after work.
The placement was well orgnaised, I had frequent meetings within the first few months to establish what work I was doing and also what targets I wanted to meet so this ensured the work I was doing was always relevant.
The company invested in me in terms of training, for example i took part in the perfume expertise training.

Staff Sales/Staff Shop
I think future employment prospects are appealing within the company, I really enjoyed my placement with them and therefore would be open to going back to work with them if the opportunity arose.
The Culture
Yes there was, sometimes I went out for lunch with my team and we had a few after work drinks. However there wasn't "friday night drinks" like there is in some companies as everyone lives quite far apart.
The cost of living is quite high as it is close to London, in terms of socialaisng in high wycombe it isnt overally expensive, however if you were to go out in London it is expensive.
High Wycombe nightlife isnt great, however in Beaconsfield there is a Revolution and London is only 30 minutes away by fast train where there is a massive variety of nightlife.
There wasn't many opportunities for activities outside of work, however for boys they did have a football team.
