The Role
I really enjoyed the placement.
All the team made sure I knew I was valued throughout the placement. And when I left many team members thanked me sincerely for work I had done for them.
My manager was the best manager I have ever had. Even 2 months after finishing the placement we still speak and I know she has my best interests at heart.
Sometime I was pretty busy, but that is indicative of the responsibility I was given. It wasn't a problem for me and I could have gotten away with working less hours and still doing a satisfactory job.
In total I ran projects worth over £1million and was given key opportunities to pitch to clients.
Because of the function my placement is in the skills I gained will not help me in my degree but will definitely help in the world of work.
The Company
The office was really relaxed and friendly most of the time.
The HR side was very poorly organised but this was made up by fantastic organisation within my team itself.
My manager invested in my development and I went on courses to use reporting systems such as Dunnhumby and Kantar Worldpanel.

They do not formally offer grad jobs out of the internship but offer places on assessment centres for grad schemes.
The Culture
The interns all got on really well but there weren't many of us and we had to arrange to meet up ourselves. I know that there are more grads though and events are put on specifically for them.
It is relatively expensive to live in Leatherhead and the surrounding area as it is within commuter distance of central London.
The area is very family orientated. However, if you want nightlife many colleagues lived closer to London and had a short train journey to work.
Rarely.
